Let me tell you briefly about my kennel and my interest in dogs. I have always loved animals and my greatest wish was to have a dog. I made that wish come true when I left home. In 1979 I had my first litter of puppies and I am still fascinated by planning and having the privilege to follow a litter from their start out into life. My litters are brought up indoors, so it´s not only joy but it takes a lot of time with the hygiene.
My curiosity has made me take many courses and educations. I am an instructor at the Svenska Brukshundsklubben, and I also ID-mark dogs. I have taken different courses at Sollefteå Hundskola and breeders courses, anatomy- and genetics courses etc. Beside that I have competed with my dogs, both working-trials and obdeience, and I have also been to number of dog shows, of course. My interest in dogs has also resulted in a lot of work in diffrent breed associations.
Many people wonder where I got the name of my kennel from. It sounds a bit mysterious. Vitterklippens..........the name comes from the rock behind our house and perhaps people saw a lot of "vittror" there a long time ago. Here´s an explanation for you who do not know what a "vittra" is. A "vittra" is almost a kind of sprite, like siren of the woods. They look like miniature people and support themselves on stock-farming and possess white little milch cows that always filled the buckets with milk, no matter how big the buckets were. They were small creatures who you should respect and not tease or anger. They were common in Ångermanland in northern Sweden.
